APOA Trauma & Infection Meeting 2017 — Asia Pacific Orthopaedic Association Trauma & Infection Meeting 2017
30 Mar 2017 - 02 Apr 2017
Putrajaya, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia
Trauma forms the most important part of Orthopaedic Surgery. In many ways most of us signed up to orthopaedic training because we were so taken by the biology and mechanics of trauma care. Trauma encompasses all parts of the orthopaedic anatomy and all age ranges from infants to pensioners. Though specialisation is the key to developing a pure understanding of an area, it is important that every trauma surgeon or allied health professional be exposed to the many different fields of trauma care. This will not only aid us in understanding the underlying principles that govern the treatment of different cases, but also allow us to better serve our patients. This meeting is designed so that we can cover a limited of set of topics greater detail through instructional course lectures. There will also be opportunities for surgeons to bring cases for forum discussion, providing a greater width with specific end-points. With this we hope that the model can be replicated at subsequent venues andyet remain fresh.

The 5th Scientific Meeting of the Asian Federation of Osteoporosis Societies (AFOS) 2017
06 Oct 2017 - 08 Oct 2017
On behalf of Asian Federation Of Osteoporosis Societies (AFOS), it gives me great pleasure to welcome you warmly to the 5th Annual Scientific Meeting in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The changing population demography and lifestyle in Asia have greatly increased the number of people at risk of osteoporosis. The scientific programme addresses common clinical problems and dilemmas. We have also invited key opinion leaders from around the region and the world to look at future directions of osteoporosis management, thus the theme ‘Best Practices, Future Directions’. The AFOS conference is fully intended to provide a platform for discussions and interaction so that together we can gain a better insight on osteoporosis and to advance research and collaboration across the region. From the laboratory bench to new therapeutic agents; from epidemiology to clinical outcome; from new ideas to fresh research data; there will be plenty to discuss and impart.
