XXV Jubilee Polish-Czech Seminar Structural and Ferroelectric Phase Transitions
06 May 2024 - 10 May 2024 • Dymaczewo Nowe, near Poznań, Poland
Organizer:
Institute of Molecular Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and Institute of Physics of the Czech Academy of Sciences
Abstract:
The idea of regular scientific meetings of physicists involved in ferroelectric research in Poland and Czechoslovakia was a joint initiative of Bożena Hilczer and Jan Fousek, born after the success of the first such event in Błażejewko, Poland in 1979. This first Seminar was organized by collaborating scientists from the Ferroelectric Lab of the Institute of Molecular Physics of the Polish Academy of Sciences and the Dielectric Department of the Institute of Physics of the Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences. Over the years, the Seminar evolved into a recognized international conference and a forum of presentation of recent results, unconstrained discussions and initiating joint studies. The Seminar results not only in scientific integration but also in close cooperation and friendship. After 45 years of history, we would like to hold the Jubilee XXV Seminar at the conference centre in Hotel Inter Szablewski on the shore of Lake Dymaczewskie, not far from the place where the idea of joint conferences was born. We invite you cordially to the XXV Jubilee Polish-Czech Seminar on Structural and Ferroelectric Phase Transitions, on May 6-10, 2024 at Lake Dymaczewskie in Poland.
Topics:
Proton and ionic conductors for fuel cells, Ferroelectric and perovskite-based solar cells, Ferroelectric and structural phase transitions, Dielectric and microwave properties, THz and IR spectroscopy, Structural and microstructural properties, Inelastic light and neutron scattering, Domains and domain boundaries, Piezoelectrics and pyroelectrics, Relaxor ferroelectrics, Multiferroics, Liquid crystals and polymeric liquid crystals, Nanomaterials and size effect, Applications

Organizer:
Institute of Molecular Physics, Polish Academy of Sciences and the Faculty of Physics, Adam Mickiewicz University
Abstract:
The European Conference Physics of Magnetism is a traditional gathering of leading researchers who are active in the field of magnetism with an emphasis on solid-state phenomena. Many distinguished lecturers from all over the world took part in previous editions of this Conference. Our meeting will enable direct contact between scientists from leading research groups all over the world. During this meeting, we will have plenary and invited lectures, oral presentations, and poster sessions. Additionally, we will organize a special session for "Young and Brilliant" scientists, which is dedicated to students, Ph.D. students, and recent Ph.D. graduates. All scientific activities aim to create a platform for discussion of discoveries and innovative ideas in the field of magnetism, which will support the development of new technologies in the future.
Topics:
Strongly Correlated Electrons, Quantum and Classical Spin Systems, Magnetic Structures and Dynamics, Spin Electronics and Magneto-Transport, Nanostructures, Surfaces and Interfaces, Soft and Hard Magnetic Materials,
