SAR — The SAR 2017 Annual Scientific Meeting and Educational Course
26 Mar 2017 - 31 Mar 2017
Hollywood, Florida, United States
The SAR 2017 Annual Scientific Meeting and Educational Course will be held, March 26 - 31, 2017 at the Diplomat Resort & Spa in Hollywood, Florida. This annual meeting was formerly called the Abdominal Radiology Course and is a presentation of the Society of Abdominal Radiology (formerly the Society of Gastrointestinal Radiologists and the Society of Uroradiology). The course encompasses the full range of activities that constitute contemporary abdominal radiology including: all methods of diagnostic imaging and radiologic intervention, with emphasis on state-of-the-art utilization, performance and interpretation; new and innovative approaches to abdominal and pelvic pathology; major issues, and common problems in gastrointestinal and genitourinary radiology; and assessment of major abdominal pathology with sessions devoted to exploring the latest imaging techniques utilized in evaluation of the genitourinary and gastrointestinal systems. These topics will be addressed in didactic lectures, panel discussions, self-assessment modules (SAMs), interactive workshops, and hands-on training workshops. The extensive variety of small group workshops and SAMs will enable participants to tailor their learning experience according to their individual needs. The Scientific Paper Sessions of the Society will be open to all members. Numerous educational and scientific posters spanning all aspects of abdominal imaging will be available to all course participants for study throughout the meeting. Designed primarily for radiologists in practice and in training, this course will also benefit all physicians who care for patients with gastrointestinal and genitourinary disease.

World Congress of Thoracic Imaging 2017
18 Jun 2017 - 21 Jun 2017
Participants from about 50 countries, including chest radiologists and other health professionals involved in thoracic imaging, will share their knowledge in chest diseases and discuss new scientific findings and advances in imaging techniques. There will also be presentations of guidelines and recommendations for appropriate practice in chest imaging. The WCTI scientific program will cover topics such as lung cancer screening, pulmonary embolism and drug-induced lung diseases. Possibilities in radiation dose reduction, especially in pediatric thoracic imaging, will be discussed, as well as the fields of chronic obstructive pulmonary diseases (COPD), asthma, infection, and coronary and cardiovascular diseases.New developments in interventional radiology, positron emission tomography (PET), X-ray computed tomography (CT) and magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) will top up the congress.
