The broad goal of this program is to advance our understanding of quantum gravity starting from nothing more than basic physical principles, such as unitarity, symmetry and causality, by harnessing the AdS/CFT Correspondence and the bootstrap approach of large N conformal field theories. With attention to the question of possible uniqueness of string theory among putative theories of quantum gravity, it is in this holographic sense that we will explore the ''Speakable and Unspeakable in Quantum Gravity'': what features of quantum gravity can be rigorously defined by way of AdS/CFT, and leveraged to classify the space of theories that actually exist? This program will place extra emphasis on low-dimensional holography, which sharpens both the physical puzzles and the mathematical tools used to solve them.

The Bombannes summer school is devoted to the practical «state-of-art» approach to scattering methods, using neutrons, as well as X-ray and light sources - today’s key techniques to study structure and dynamics in systems containing colloids, polymers, surfactants and biological macromolecules. Since 1990 the Bombannes school series introduces, on a fundamental level, the current methodology of static and dynamic scattering techniques and their application to soft matter systems. It provides with a period of 2 years advanced training for young researchers with a working place in European laboratories at post-graduate and post-doctoral level.

The ECS9 edition will focus on the improving of crystallography skills: from basic structure analysis to understanding of chemical bonds, bonding interactions and structure-properties relationships in materials.

We are pleased to announce the 9th IYCE will be held in Colmar (France) in 2024. Moving forward from the pandemic we are finally able to return to a biannual schedule and we are eager to organize the next edition of the conference. Young professionals (undergraduate, MSc, PhD students and entrant engineers) are encouraged to participate and present their work in a friendly international environment, to enjoy the beauty of Colmar and to make new connections for the future. Contributions are welcome from any field related to energy and power engineering. Final papers will be published in IEEE Xplore. IYCE is a Student-led Technical Conference, member of the IEEE IAS YP Student-led Conferences.

Comme chaque année depuis 1982*, l’École Joliot Curie (EJC) a pour rôle de former la future génération de chercheurs en physique des constituants élémentaires. Élevée au rang d’École de Physique Européenne depuis 2009, l'EJC excelle depuis des années à promouvoir et à enseigner les avancées les plus récentes dans des domaines aussi variés que sont la physique nucléaire, l’astrophysique nucléaire et les applications associées auprès des étudiants et des chercheurs.
