You can cownload the program here.
What is the aim of the workshop?
The Young Researchers’ Workshop (YRW) offers the unique opportunity to present own data as a short talk (10 min talk plus 5 min discussion). Special emphasis is laid on an intense discussion between all participants.
Can I also participate without submitting an abstract?
Yes, you can. Interested audience (young researchers) is highly welcome, but please do not forget to register (see last page).
Are there any awards?
Yes, there are! The two best presentations will be awarded with a prize:
- The Innovation Award: 1,000 EUR sponsored by Professor Jürg Gertsch
- The Bionorica YRW Award: 600 EUR sponsored by the company Bionorica SE
Who can submit an abstract? And when is the deadline?
PhD students and early stage post-docs (only within their first year) are invited to submit an abstract for a short talk. Only high-quality abstracts can be considered. The YRW jury consisting of the professors Alessandra Braca (I), Robert Fürst (D), Jürg Gertsch (CH) and Anastasia Karioti (GR) will review the abstracts and take the decision on whether a short talk will be granted or not.
Deadline for abstract submission is October 4th, 2020. Information about the acceptance of the abstract for the YRW will be provided latest by October 20th, 2020.
How will the workshop be organized?
The workshop will be held online as a GA eSymposium on Saturday, November 7th, 2020 starting at 10.00 a.m. We have reserved 12 slots (à 15 min) for talks. The workshop will end with a closing session including a feedback round and – most importantly – the disclosure of the awardees. The precise schedule will be announced as soon as the submitted abstracts have been evaluated.
