PROMS2020 — Measuring Patient-Reported Outcomes (PROs) in Research and Clinical Practice Conference
22 Jul 2020 - 24 Jul 2020 • Sydney, Australia
Organizer:
Sydney Quality of Life Office, The University of Sydney
Abstract:
Patient-reported outcomes (PROs) are important endpoints in clinical trials and have been used in clinical research for decades to ensure the patient voice is considered. More recently, PROs are being used in routine clinical practice to improve communication between healthcare providers and patients and to inform decision-making. Australia now recognises the assessment of PROs in clinical practice as an important area and multiple programs are underway nationally that are rolling out routine collection of PROs in oncology clinical settings. This conference will bring together and support Australia and New Zealand PRO researchers and clinicians to: share research findings and methodological developments related to the use of PROs in clinical practice and research; provide an opportunity for networking; promote high quality research in the science of PRO measurement; and raise awareness of PRO-related activities across Australia and New Zealand.
