RöKo2018 — 100. Deutscher Röntgenkongress
29 May 2019 - 01 Jun 2019 • Leipzig, Germany
Abstract:

SCR'19 — Swiss Congress of Radiology
13 Jun 2019 - 15 Jun 2019 • St. Gallen, Switzerland
Abstract:
The SCR is the biggest radiological scientific and educational meeting in Switzerland with an average attendance of over 1,200 professional and industry delegates. It is held every year in a different city in Switzerland.

It is organised by the Scientific Committee of the Swiss Society of Radiology (SGR-SSR), in joint collaboration with the Swiss Society of Nuclear Medicine (SGNM-SSMN) and the Swiss Association of Radiographers (SVMTRA-ASTRM). Moreover, the following associated sub-societies of the SGR-SSR take part at the congress organisation: the Swiss Society of Vascular and Interventional Radiology (SSVIR), the Swiss Society of Radiopharmacy/Radiopharmaceutical Chemistry (SGRRC-SSRCR), the Swiss Society of Emergency Radiology (SSER), the Swiss Society of Musculoskeletal Radiology (SSSR) and the Swiss Society of Paediatric Imaging (SGPR-SSRP). The ISSS as well as SSRMP will also participate to the congress.

The SCR consists of refresher courses, plenary sessions with lectures by national and international speakers as well as scientific sessions with oral abstracts. Moreover, an interesting poster exhibition presents the latest updates in radiology. In addition, many different companies present their latest medical and technical products at a large exhibition. So the SCR is not only a place to listen and learn but also a platform for personal exchange between friends, colleagues and companies.

The SCR is interesting for radiologists, nuclear medicine specialists and radiographers in public and private hospitals as well as in private practice. It also turns to residents, medical students and radiography/nuclear medicine students. The official congress language is English.

The remaining 2 days of programming are filled with not only advanced topics on imaging of the acutely ill patient but also numerous topics of particular interest to the emergency radiologist. The 2019 Meeting will also feature workshops on mass casualty incidents and dual energy imaging. The educational elements of this program (scientific papers, scientific and educational posters, focused sessions and lively debates) are targeted for emergency radiologists, general radiologists, emergency physicians, trauma surgeons, and all who review radiological examinations for the acutely ill performed in an emergency setting. In addition to the exciting educational content, the Annual Meeting offers incredible social events and networking opportunities.

ESCR 2019 — ESCR Annual Scientific Meeting 2019
24 Oct 2019 - 26 Oct 2019 • Antwerp, Belgium
Abstract:
Radiology has always been a rapidly evolving specialty, closely linked to technical innovations but also actively contributing to a better understanding of pathophysiological processes in a wide variety of diseases. This is actually especially true in the field of non-invasive cardiac imaging, where new techniques including e.g. parametric MR mapping for tissue characterisation, non-invasive CT-based fraction flow reserve calculations, and evolving insights in the evaluation and treatment of valvular heart disease with CT/MR are leading to improved diagnostic possibilities and better patient care. The current annual meeting will provide plenty of opportunities to learn the latest insights into cutting-edge clinical imaging applications, not only through lectures by respected speakers, but also through a variety of dedicated workshops including contemporary topics like pre-procedural TAVI planning. Finally, the rise of artificial intelligence and big data is undeniable, with a growing impact on the workflow and position of the radiologist. Dedicated sessions will provide the necessary insights relevant to clinical practice.
