AlCoB 2020 — 7th International Conference on Algorithms for Computational Biology
13 Apr 2020 - 15 Apr 2020 • Missoula, Montana, United States
AlCoB aims at promoting and displaying excellent research using string and graph algorithms and combinatorial optimization to deal with problems in biological sequence analysis, genome rearrangement, phylogeny reconstruction, and structure prediction.
US TTF — 2020 U.S. Transport Task Force Meeting
21 Apr 2020 - 24 Apr 2020 • Santa Rosa, CA, United States
The ultimate goal of the US-EU Transport Task Force (TTF) is to develop a physics-based understanding of particle, momentum and heat transport in magnetic fusion devices. This understanding should be of sufficient depth that it allows the development of predictive models of plasma transport that can be validated against experiment, and then used to simulate the future performance of burning plasmas in ITER, and next-step fusion energy reactors.
The 2020 U.S. TTF Workshop will be co-located with the 2020 Sherwood Fusion Theory Conference and coordinated with the 2020 Asia-Pacific Transport Working Group.
V&V Verification and Validation Symposium
20 May 2020 - 22 May 2020 • Baltimore, MD, United States
The American Society of Mechanical Engineers (ASME)
This unique event will bring together engineers and scientists from all disciplines that use computational modeling and simulation to discuss and exchange ideas and methods for verification of codes and solutions, simulation validation, and assessment of uncertainties in mathematical models, computational solutions, and experimental data.
NSF-CBMS Regional Conference: Parallel Time Integration
01 Jun 2020 - 05 Jun 2020 • Houghton, MI, United States
Michigan Technological University
The primary focus of the conference is to educate and inspire researchers and students in new and innovative numerical techniques for the parallel-in-time solution of large-scale evolution problems on modern supercomputing architectures, and to stimulate further studies in their analysis and applications.
CMWR 2020 — Computational Methods in Water Resources XXIII
22 Jun 2020 - 25 Jun 2020 • Stanford University, United States
Computational Methods in Water Resources (CMWR) is a series of biannual conferences which, since 1976, alternate between locations in North America and Europe. CMWR is dedicated to nurturing and promotion of cutting-edge interdisciplinary research on quantitative forecasting of hydrological processes, with a special emphasis on mathematical, computational, and statistical methods.
