American Association of Biological Anthropologists (AABA)

The American Association of Biological Anthropologists, or AABA, is the world's leading professional organization for biological anthropologists. Formed by 83 charter members in 1930, the AABA now has an international membership of over 2,200. The Association's annual meetings draw more than two thousand scientists and students from all over the world.

This conference explores the role of digital technologies in shaping the preservation, interpretation, and circulation of cultural heritage in the 21st century. In an era where mobile media, AI, 3D digitisation, immersive platforms, and collaborative digital storytelling are transforming the way heritage is engaged with, we seek to bring together researchers, practitioners, artists, and community advocates who are experimenting with these tools to rethink cultural work.

Twenty-First International Conference on the Arts in Society, Department of Theatre Studies, School of Philosophy, National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Greece,, 10-12 June 2026. Founded in 2000, the Arts in Society Research Network offers an interdisciplinary forum for discussion of the role of the arts in society. It is a place for critical engagement, examination, and experimentation, developing ideas that connect the arts to their contexts in the world – on stage, in studios and theaters, in classrooms, in museums and galleries, on the streets and in communities. We seek to build an epistemic community where we can make linkages across disciplinary, geographic, and cultural boundaries.

As a Research Network, we are defined by our scope and concerns and motivated to build strategies for action framed by our shared themes and tensions.
