Accessibility and barrier-free campus
The campus is. wheelchair accessible. All lecture halls have special wheelchair spaces in the top row. The building has elevators and disabled toilets. The best way to find handicapped accessible routes on campus and in the conference venue is the UR Walking website.
Childcare facilities
Lactation Rooms (PT 4.0.104, VB 0.18): Both lactation rooms will be open during all conference sessions.
Room with toys (PT 4.0.30): As part of the conference venue, we have set up a toy room where you and/or your partner can spend quality time with your child during the conference sessions from Monday morning through Wednesday at 3:00 pm. The key to the room will be available at the Conference Desk (also marked in the map). Please remember to remove your shoes when using the toy room. Please note that for legal reasons we are unable to provide childcare in this room. Therefore, you or your partner will be responsible for supervision. Please feel free to contact our TeaP volunteers for assistance in accessing this facility.
Childcare: For those who have pre-registered for childcare, trained teachers will look after your child at the agreed times in room VB 0.07.

Getting to Regensburg
Arriving by Car
Autobahn / Highway A 3: Köln/Cologne - Frankfurt - Nürnberg/Nuremberg - Regensburg - Passau - Wien/ViennaAutobahn / Highway A 93: München/Munich - Regensburg - Weiden - Hof - Dresden - Berlin
Federal highways: B8, B15 and B16 Parking on university campus If you are travelling by by car, free parking is available directly on campus. Entrance is via Galgenbergstraße, Am Biopark, or Universitätsstraße. A limited number of charging stations for electric cars are available in the parking garage „Am Biopark“ in the southeast of the campus (12 charging stations) as well as close to the „Vielberth-Building“ (6 charging stations). The charging stations are operated by REWAG and can be used with a REWAG charging card or a charging card from one of the cooperation partners. A list of the cooperating providers can be found on the REWAG homepage.
Arriving by Train
If you plan to travel to Regensburg by train, use the Deutsche Bahn Navigator App (or visit the homepage www.bahn.de) to plan your trip. Your destination is Regensburg Hbf / Regensburg Central Station. Once you arrive at Regensburg Hbf, you have two options for leaving the station:- If you want to go to the city center, follow the signs (Bahnhof, City) and walk towards the yellow building. Once you leave the Central Station building, it is only a 10 minute walk or a short ride by bus or cab/taxi to the city center.
- If you want to go to the university (or need anything from a supermarket, drugstore, etc.), walk towards the modern beige/brown building with the sign “Regensburg Arcaden”. From Regensburg Arcaden, you can walk (uphill) for 20-30 minutes, take a cab/taxi, or use public transportation (see "Getting around Regensburg").
Arriving by Airplane
The closest airports to Regensburg are Nürnberg (Nuremberg) and München (Munich). Arriving in Munich When you arrive at Munich Airport, you have two options for traveling to Regensburg:- There is a direct bus (shuttle service) operating from Munich Airport to Regensburg and back. This service costs 44 € and must be booked several days before your arrival. You can find more detailed information on their website.
- If you are traveling by train from Munich Airport to Regensburg, you do not have to go through Munich Central Station. Instead, you can take the Airport express directly from Munich Airport to Regensburg Central Station. The number of the train is RE22, direction Regensburg, and it runs every hour. Alternatively, you can take the bus (number 635) from Terminal 2 at Munich Airport to Freising and from there take the train to Regensburg. Getting around Regensburg
The best way to get around Regensburg is by bus or - for those of you who like a little workout in the morning and/or evening - by foot.For up-to-date information and bus schedules, use either the Deutsche Bahn Navigator App (or visit the DB website https://www.bahn.de), Google Maps, or the RVV app (or visit the RVV website: https://www.rvv.de).
To get to the university campus, you need to get off at the “Universität” stop.
Here, you find some general information about the main bus routes (not exclusive - more buses go from the city center to the university - best use the RVV-app).
From Regensburg Central Station (Hauptbahnhof or Hbf) to the university campus (Universität) Line 2 (direction Karl-Stieler-Straße): every twenty minutes on weekdays
Line 6 (direction Uni/OTH-Klinikum): every ten minutes on weekdays
Line 11 (direction Burgweinting): every twenty minutes on weekdays

Please note that the center of the old town is not connected to the bus network. The closest options are Line 2 and 11 which go around the old town in opposite directions, or line 6:
