ATFA17 - Aspects of Time-Frequency Analysis
05 Jun 2017 - 07 Jun 2017
Politecnico di Torino, Italy
Topics include function spaces, time-frequency analysis and Gabor analysis, sampling theory and compressed sensing, mathematical signal processing, microlocal analysis, pseudodifferential operators and Fourier integral operators, numerical harmonic analysis, abstract harmonic analysis, and applications of harmonic analysis.
Nonlinear Analysis in Rome
26 Jun 2017 - 30 Jun 2017
The goal of the meeting is to bring together researchers in nonlinear PDE, geometric analysis, and mathematical physics. To provide a more in-depth view of some aspects of these fields we will have two three-hour minicourses: Luigi Ambrosio (SNS—Pisa): Optimal Transport and Ricci curvature; Tristan Riviere (ETH—Zurich): Minmax Methods in the Calculus of Variations of Curves and Surfaces. In addition, there will be one-hour research talks by leading experts and short communication sessions for young researchers to present their work. More information can be found at the conference website. Thanks to the support of the National Science Foundation, we will be able to support the participation of US-based grad students and postdocs has been approved. Please apply at the conference website; the deadline is March 1, 2017.
