BRAKE DISC ANALYSIS WITH THE HELP OF ANSYS SOFTWARE — Conferences and Meetings on Mechanical engineering
ID
848834
Dates
08 Nov 2016 - 09 Jun 2017
Location
Berlin, Germany
Abstract
There is lot of upgrade in the technology of the automobile these days. Competition on the speed of vehicles going on in the market. But also this speed leads to accidents if vehicle don’t stop on time. Disc brakes in the vehicles give much better performance compare to drum to stop the vehicle also the heat generated during braking force can be easily dissipated as disc brakes are open to atmosphere. But the main problem is with the material used in the disc brakes in some vehicle. Manufacturers use disc of steel which have short life span and the weight is bulky near the tire. If disc loses its shape wobbling can caused near the tire causing a big problem. The main motto of this thesis is to improve the strength of the disc by taking various materials for analysis. The design has been taken from real world. Dimensions of Santro Xing car has been taken and plotted in three dimensions on solid works. Materials like Al-ni-co & titanium alloy has been selected for analysis to compare it with existing material. 3D model has been imported on analysis to analyze the stresses produced in the disc brake and to check the deformation occurred in the disc after applying the boundary conditions. After all the analysis comparison has been made and a result has been concluded for the best material with good strength.

ITSVT — 2017 International Conference on Intelligent Transport System and Vehicle Technology
ID
843832
Dates
23 Mar 2017 - 24 Mar 2017
Location
Coimbatore, India
Abstract
Road traffic congestion is a recurring problem worldwide. In India, a fast growing economy, the problem is acutely felt in almost all major cities. This is primarily because infrastructure growth is slow compared to growth in number of vehicles, due to space and cost constraints. Secondly, Indian traffic being non-lane based and chaotic, is largely different from the western traffic. The difference can be understood fully only through experience. Thus, Intelligent Transport Systems ,used for efficient traffic management in developed countries, cannot be used as it is in India. ITS techniques have to undergo adaptation and innovation to suit the contrasting traffic characteristics of Indian roads. The manufacturing method of car incorporates superior vehicle manufacturing technologies. The above said challenges are going o be suitably addressed in this conference.

INTSYS 2017 — Intelligent Transport Systems – From research and development to the market uptake
ID
848186
Dates
16 May 2017 - 18 May 2017
Location
Vienna, Austria
Abstract
Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS) are vital to increase efficiency, safety, mobility and tackle Europe's growing emission and congestion problems. They can make transport safer, more efficient and more sustainable by applying information and communication technologies to all modes of transport. Moreover, the integration of existing technologies can create new services. The full potential of ITS can only be achieved if deployed worldwide. Research has a major role to play in developing and deploying key ITS technologies, and contributing to standardisation, interoperability between transport modes and countries, and cross-border continuity of services. On the other hand a deployment of Intelligent Transport Systems also faces some barriers, only some of which are technological. Deployment costs, funding restrictions that prevent from facilitating investments, privacy and liability concerns, uncertain demand, and lack of legislation have limited the roll-out of ITS implementation in a number of cases.
