This program will bring together researchers representing the breadth of modern Harmonic Analysis and will seek to capitalize on and continue recent progress in four major directions: -Restriction, Kakeya, and Geometric Incidence Problems -Analysis on Nonhomogeneous Spaces -Weighted Norm Inequalities -Quantitative Rectifiability and Elliptic PDE. Many of these areas draw techniques from or have applications to other fields of mathematics, such as analytic number theory, partial differential equations, combinatorics, and geometric measure theory. Zusammenfassung
This workshop, sponsored by AIM and the NSF, will be devoted to bringing together researchers from different communities (including probability, functional analysis, information and estimation theory), who study and use forms of Shannon's Entropy Power Inequality (EPI). This result and its many extensions and generalizations have been proved using a number of different approaches, including the de Bruijn identity, optimal transport and minimum mean square estimation (MMSE). Although the EPI is interesting in its own right, it has further significant impact by connecting several important and active research areas, including functional inequalities on Riemannian manifolds, inequalities in convex geometry, entropic versions of results in additive combinatorics and bounding the capacity of communication channels.

TAMTAM «Tendances dans les Applications Mathématiques en Tunisie, Algérie et Maroc» est un colloque maghrébin, organisé tous les deux ans, tour à tour, en Tunisie, en Algérie et au Maroc. La 1ère édition a été organisée à Rabat-Maroc (2003), la seconde édition à Tunis-Tunisie (2005), la troisième édition à Alger-Algérie (2007), la quatrième édition à Kénitra-Maroc (2009), la cinquième édition à Sousse-Tunisie (2011), la sixième édition à Alger-Algérie (2013) et la septième édition à Tanger-Maroc. La huitième édition se déroulera du 10 au 13 Mai 2017 à Hammamet-Tunisie.

TAMTAM se veut un trait d'union entre les chercheurs maghrébins de par le monde, une occasion de développement de leurs coopérations au service du développement scientifique de la région, ainsi qu'une fenêtre de cette dernière sur le monde. Le colloque a pour objectifs de faire le point, entre autres, sur les travaux de pointe dans les thèmes d’actualité en mathématiques appliquées.

TAMTAM est ouvert à tous les chercheurs en mathématiques appliquées, privilégie la participation des jeunes chercheurs et doctorants maghrébins et leur offre l'occasion de présenter leurs premiers travaux. Les communications sont sélectionnées de manière à maintenir un niveau scientifique conforme aux normes d'excellence internationale. Ce colloque entend faciliter l'insertion de nos jeunes chercheurs maghrébins au meilleur niveau dans la grande communauté scientifique internationale.

TAMTAM’17 sera suivi d'une journée spéciale, le 14 Mai 2017, pour fêter le 20ème anniversaire du LAMSIN (Laboratoire de Modélisation Mathématique et Numérique dans les Sciences de l'Ingénieur), un laboratoire plateforme de coopération maghrébine qui a contribué à la réussite de TAMTAM dans toutes ses éditions.

This branch of equilibrium statistical physics tries to describe the dynamics of nonlinear waves over long time intervals, or in the presence of a random forcing. It was developed mostly by physicists and applied mathematicians in the past century, but very little is known rigorously in this field. It is our aim to advance its mathematical understanding.

This conference is intended as a follow-up of other highly successful events held in Europe (ESF Exploratory Workshop, Prague 2010; ICMS Workshop, Edinburgh 2013; AIM Workshop, San Jose 2015). While the above workshops were deliberately smaller, and less formal meetings focused on open problems in the field, this event at CIRM will be a full-scale conference to which previous activities naturally result. The main goal is to facilitate interdisciplinary collaborations across the mathematical analysis and mathematical physics community, with a central role being played by the theory of non-self-adjoint operators. The meeting will address state-of-the-art techniques for the mathematically rigorous analysis of non-self-adjoint phenomena encountered in main stream and newly developing fields of physics. An emphasis will be put on non-self-adjoint operators related to problems in superconductivity, graphene, repeated interaction quantum systems, hydrodynamics, quantum mechanics with non-Hermitian operators, optics and metamaterials. Experts in operator theory, microlocal analysis, and mathematical physics will be brought together to address challenging open problems involving the rigorous mathematical framework of the physical theories.

This workshop, sponsored by AIM and the NSF, will be devoted to topological modeling and analysis of biomolecules. A major feature of life sciences in the 21st century is their transformation from phenomenological and descriptive disciplines to quantitative and predictive ones. Revolutionary opportunities have emerged for mathematically driven advances in biological research. However, the emergence of excessive complexity in self-organizing biological systems poses fundamental challenges to their quantitative description. Dealing with the connectivity and transformation of different components in a space, topology provides a dramatic simplification of biomolecular data and sheds light on drug design, protein folding, organelle function, signaling, gene regulation networks and topology-function relationship.

The ICCA series is traditionally dedicated to the study of Clifford algebra and its applications in geometry, mathematical analysis, mathematical and theoretical physics and mechanical and electrical engineering. Over the years, it has further broadened and diversified its scope to include a.o. numerical analysis, integral transforms, signal processing, group representation theory, Lie (super)algebras, … . Moreover Clifford algebra has shown to be a highly efficient and powerful language for tackling problems in control engineering, signal processing, robotics, geographic information systems (GIS), cosmology, virtual reality, 3D camera optics, medical imaging, and neural computation.
