Restoring forests for water related and other ecosystem services in the Panama Canal Watershed
The Agua Salud project is part of the Smithsonian Institution´s Forest Global Earth Observatory (ForestGEO) and is a collaboration with the Panama Canal Authority (ACP) and Panama´s Ministry of the Environment (MiAmbiente). Participating researchers and students represent universities and institutions from around the world.
Major contributors include the Heising-Simons Foundation, the Hoch Family, the Inter-American Development Bank, the Small World Institute Fund, Stanley Motta and the US National Science Foundation.
