Dates
12 Jun 2017 - 14 Jun 2017
Location
Freiberg, Germany
Abstract
The 3rd International Freiberg Conference on Electrochemical Storage Materials (ESTORM) is scheduled from 12 – 14 June 2017 at the Technische Universität Bergakademie Freiberg, Germany. While the first two ESTORM conferences in 2013 and 2015 shed light on new materials and concepts, with the 3rd conference we want to bring together stakeholders from research and industry to discuss the emerging field of solid electrolytes and all solid state batteries. Further key aspects are multivalent ion conductivity, aluminium based batteries and the roll-to-roll production process. We will be honoured to welcome international experts from science and industry in the field of electrochemical energy storage in Freiberg. During the three days they will present highlights and latest research findings and will let us benefit from their profound knowledge.

ECI — Electrophoretic Deposition VI: Fundamentals and Applications
ID
811836
Dates
01 Oct 2017 - 06 Oct 2017
Location
Gyeongju, South Korea
Abstract
This conference follows from the success of the first five International Conferences on Electrophoretic Deposition: Fundamentals and Applications, organized under sponsorship of ECI in August 2002 (Canada) June 2005 (Italy), October 2008 (Japan), October 2011 (Mexico) and October 2014 (Austria). The goal is to bring together experts working in the area of electrophoretic deposition (EPD) with focus mainly on its application as a processing technique for the fabrication of both traditional and new materials and composites. Electrophoretic deposition exploits an electric surface charge on particles in suspension, which migrate in the presence of an appropriate electric field enabling the consolidation of particles into films onto any shaped substrate or forming bulk ceramic components. For its successful application, a basic understanding of the colloidal stability, the deposition kinetics, and the constrained drying and sintering issues of the deposit is necessary.
