22 sep 2024 - 28 sep 2024 • Milan, Italie
Résumé:
Wildfires are attracting significant attention from both the public and the local managers for their increasing impacts on the biosphere. In the recent years, we have witnessed a large number of extreme fire events all around the globe: Hawaii, California, Greece, Italy, Portugal, Spain, Turkey, that have significant impacts on both the environment and humans. The EARSeL Forest Fires Special Interest Group (FF SIG) was created in 1995 and fosters interaction among scientists and managers who are interested in using remotely sensed data and techniques to improve the traditional methods for fire monitoring.

12th International FIG Workshop on the Land Administration Domain Model & 3D Land Administration
24 sep 2024 - 26 sep 2024 • Kuching, Sarawak, Malaisie
Résumé:
The workshop aims to bring together experts from the industry, government, and academia, to present and discuss LADM and/or 3D LA related developments including live demonstrations of LADM implementations (operational systems, pilots, prototypes). The workshop will also cover informal or customary rights (, restrictions, resposibilities) as exiting in many countries, next to the more formal rights that are being registered. UN-Habitat is using the LADM specialization STDM (Social Tenure Domain Model) in 17 countries to register these informal/customary rights. Also, UN-FAO (Food and Agriculture Organization)'s SOLA (Solutions for Open Land Administration)/Open Tenure and USAID's MAST (Mobile Applications to Secure Tenure) infomation models are all based on LADM. Speakers who want to share their experiences on implementation are cordially invited to participate. This workshop will provide solid input to the "Implementation" part of Edition II of LADM, to be developed in collaboration with OGC. The workshop should enable making important choices, such as the technical encodings.

ISPRS Technical Commission IV — Spatial Information to Empower the Metaverse
22 oct 2024 - 25 oct 2024 • Fremantle, Perth, Australie
Résumé:
The world is changing, and digital reflections of the real world have become increasingly important for governments and business to understand and manage environmental and socio-economic issues, and to channel sustainable development and reduce emissions. The pressure placed on the use of working and living spaces further necessitates decisions that are based on based on more complex, multi-dimensional spatial data. Digital twins have developed as a critical technology that offers a platform for the testing and analyses of complex systems, which would be impossible to perform with traditional simulators and modular evaluations. However, the development of such technology faces many challenges including discovery, sharing, fusion, analysis and simulation of spatial information, data unavailability to train Machine Learning (models, management, and visualisation of big multidimensional data. The ISPRS Technical Commission IV 'Spatial Information Sciences' has the mission to advance spatial information science, enable spatial digital twins and empower their development to a metaverse.
Sujets:
multidimensional modelling • fusion of data • open data • data management of big data • spatial analysis and simulation • mixed reality • advanced interfaces.
