2nd Niche-epithelial Stem Cell Interactions in Lung Health and Disease Conference
05 oct 2023 - 08 oct 2023 • Dubrovnik, Croatie
Organisateur:
Fusion Conferences
Résumé:
The different epithelial stem/progenitor cells identified so far in the different regions of the lung interact with specific stromal, and physical/mechanical, niches. Some of these niches have recently been characterized. These niches dictate the quiescence of the epithelial stem/progenitor cells, as well as their re-entry into the cell cycle and subsequent differentiation. The mesenchyme, which gives rise to different stromal cell niches has so far been understudied during development, homeostasis, injury/repair and disease development. Similarly, the effects on stem cells of the physical/mechanical properties of their local environment are just beginning to be explored.
Sujets:
Stem cell niches in lung development, Stem cell niches in lung homeostasis and repair, Breaking niche regulation in lung cancer, Characterisation of epithelial and mesenchymal progenitor cell populations

1st Spermatogenesis Conference — Male germ cells: from stem cells to diseases
08 oct 2023 - 11 oct 2023 • Dubrovnik, Croatie
Organisateur:
Fusion Conferences
Résumé:
The germline provides an eternal cellular link between generations and is the source of genetic diversity and evolution of animal populations. In addition, perturbations in the epigenome or genome of a parental germline that arise during development could be underlying causes of many disease states in offspring. In males, sperm are the conduit for transmission of genetic and epigenetic information to the next generation and are formed by the complex process of spermatogenesis, which involves undifferentiated stem cell, differentiating, meiotic, and morphogenesis phases. This workshop will explore recent advances in understanding the biology of these different phases in a variety of animal models as well as how epigenetic and genetic abnormalities may underlie transmission of diseases and fertility disorder in humans. Invited talks and poster sessions that focus on cutting edge findings along with vibrant discussions and debates about controversies in the field will provide a rich intellectual atmosphere that is sure to have an important impact on how the biology of spermatogenesis is investigated for years to come.

Euroleuk2023 — The 4th European Congress on Controversies in Leukemia
20 nov 2023 - 21 nov 2023 • Bruxelles, Belgique
Organisateur:
Bioevents Ltd
Résumé:
It is with great pleasure that we invite you to join us in person at The 4th European Congress on Controversies in Leukemia (Euroleuk2023) which will take place 20-21 November 2023 in Brussels, Belgium. The diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic leukemia are changing dramatically. In recent years, numerous new drugs have entered the market, changing the prognosis of leukemia patients. In this context, a continuous exchange among peers, together with the opportunity to hear the most important news from the voices of Europe’s leading key opinion leaders, is essential to ensure the best level of care for leukemia patients. The all-new format will feature debate-style presentations on hot topics in acute and chronic leukemia, with speakers presenting contrasting views to stimulate interactive discussion with faculty and attendees. Euroleuk2023 will continue to provide clinicians and biologists with the latest recommendations for patient care, as well as insights into controversies and new therapeutic perspectives in the field.

6th Congress of the French Society for Stem Cell Research
22 jan 2024 - 24 jan 2024 • Paris, France
Résumé:
We are delighted to announce the launch of the 6th Congress of the French Society for Stem Cell Research in 2024, 22-24 January. It will be held in Paris, an emblematic location for our learned society. Indeed, Paris is the birthplace of our founding in 2017 By remaining true to our ambitions, our aim has been in the last years to foster the development of a solid network of interactions within our community thanks to the organization of our previous meetings across France (Paris, Nantes, Lyon, Montpellier, Strasbourg). For this 6th congress, we wanted to return to our origins and organize an exceptional meeting in a prestigious location at the feet of the Eiffel Tower. This central location will enable us to gather in great numbers and will again be the occasion to exchange ideas and develop and promote collaborative research for French stem cell research.

2nd Stem Cell - Niche Interactions in the Gastrointestinal Tract Conference
07 mai 2024 - 10 mai 2024 • Playa del Carmen, Mexique
Organisateur:
Fusion Conferences
Résumé:
The past ten years have seen an explosion of information regarding stem cells (SCs) within the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, due to an improved ability to identify SCs, follow their fates, and manipulate them in vitro. The next frontier in the field of GI stem cell biology is understanding the role that dysregulated ISC behavior plays in the etiology of numerous diseases, and conversely, the impact of GI diseases on proper SC function. This meeting will bring together a diverse group of investigators to discuss topics such as how the environment of the esophagus, stomach, small intestine and colon impacts SC behavior in healthy and diseased states, how SC behaviour and the niche differ along the proximal-distal axis of the GI tract, and the strengths of various models for investigating the relationship between gastrointestinal SCs, the niche, and the onset and propagation of disease states.
