3D Cell Culture — SMi's 4th Annual 3D Cell Culture Conference
19 fév 2020 - 20 fév 2020 • Londres, Royaume-Uni
Organisateur:
SMi Group
Résumé:
SMi’s 3D Cell Culture Conference will explore advances of organ and lab-on-a-chip, microphysiological systems, applications of technology and case studies, imaging, high throughput screening and advances in 3D cell culture models which make up core components within the 3D Cell Culture field. For the first time ever the NEW 3D Bioprinting Focus Day on 18 February 2020 will explore case studies from big pharma, biotech’s and academia exploring how bioprinting is being used in industry highlighting projects looking at stem cell therapy, drug screening and extracellular matrix scaffolds.

Exosomes in Human Infectious Diseases Conference
05 mar 2020 - 08 mar 2020 • Nassau, Bahamas
Organisateur:
Fusion Conferences Ltd
Résumé:
Extracellular vesicles (EVs), which are generated by almost all living cells, are now considered to be an important system of cell–cell communication. A large volume of data has been published on EVs in different fields of biology and medicine, from immunology to marine biology. These data are discussed at large international meetings that gather thousands of researchers. However, there is still a need for more-focused meetings at which the importance and reliability of the data should be evaluated by a narrow circle of experts. Here, we propose to organize a small conference that will focus on one of the most important aspects of EVs, their role in infectious human diseases. The aim of the proposed conference is to improve our understanding of the mechanisms of this involvement and to evaluate EVs as potential therapeutic targets.

Intestinal Stem Cell - Niche Interactions in Health and Disease Conference
17 jul 2020 - 20 jul 2020 • Lisbonne, Portugal
Résumé:
The past ten years have seen an explosion of information regarding intestinal stem cells (ISCs), due to an improved ability to identify ISCs, follow their fates, and manipulate ISCs in vitro. The next frontier in the ISC field is understanding the role that dysregulated ISC behavior plays in the etiology of disease, and conversely, the impact of intestinal disease on proper ISC function. This meeting will bring together a diverse group of investigators to discuss topics such as how the environment of the small intestine and colon impacts ISC behavior in healthy and diseased states, how ISC behavior and the niche differ along the proximal-distal axis of the intestine, and the strengths of various models for investigating the relationship between ISCs, the niche, and the onset and propagation of disease states.
