The European-Winter School on Physical Organic Chemistry (E-WISPOC), at its 18th edition, is organized every year by the University of Padova, Department of Chemical Sciences, with the support of the Società Chimica Italiana (www.soc.chim.it/en), Divisione di Chimica Organica (www.soc.chim.it/it/divisioni/organica/home).The aim of the E-WISPOC is to bring together leading world scientists with young students to provide an overview of the latest advances in the various areas of Organic Chemistry, with a special emphasis on Physical Organic Cheimstry. The main focus of E-WISPOC 2024 will be on “Chemistry of the Confined Spaces”. Topics will be illustrated and debated in a lively and informal atmosphere with free time in the afternoon dedicated to visit local mountains. As in the past editions, EWISPOC 2025 will consist of lessons delivered by scientists, poster sessions, flash presentations workshops and open sessions.

A Symposium organised in the frame of the EOS project "TETHERED"

Bond breaking and reforming have a determining influence on the mechanical and rheological properties of polymer materials and are crucial features to understand and control. These molecular level processes have an impact across different length scales up to the macroscopic level, and it is therefore essential to establish links between these different length scales. However, correlating bulk mechanical performances with the nanomechanical properties of individual molecular constituents remains a major challenge. This symposium aims thus at bringing together scientists working at different length scales, from single molecules to bulk materials.

European Polymer Federation (EPF)

The European Polymer Congress, organized by the European Polymer Federation (EPF), stands as the most significant European conference in the field of Polymer Science and Technology. As the flagship event of EPF—a non-profit organization that includes nearly all National Polymer Societies in Europe—the conference has grown substantially since its inception in 2001. With 24 full members and 4 associate members, the biennial congress attracts an increasingly diverse and expanding participation. The theme for EPF 2025, “Polymers for a Sustainable Future,” is of special significance in the current era, addressing the urgent need for sustainable solutions in various industries.

The International Conferences on Solution Chemistry (ICSC) have always brought together scientists from all over the world (professors, researchers and doctoral students) to discuss up-to-date results related to physicochemical processes in solution chemistry from Fundamentals to Industry Applications. Previous ICSC was organized in Europe, USA, Australia, Japan and China, etc. However, participation of chemists from emerging countries has generally been modest due to the relatively high costs of registration, accommodation and transport. The 39th ICSC-2025 will be held for the first time in Africa under the leadership of the ISC Steering Committee, this (in addition to the low participation costs), will encourage African and Middle Eastern young chemists to participate.
