This conference, which will be held at the Radisson Blu Mall of America in Bloomington, MN on May 12-14, 2026, will cover a wide array of odor topics, including odor science, odor chemical forensics and source identification, field assessment methods, electronic sensing, odor sampling methods, odor policy and regulation, odor modeling, odor controls and mitigation, community impacts, and best practices. The conference builds off momentum gathered by the well-attended May 2024 Odor Management Conference in Toronto and previous A&WMA odor webinars.

The “Circular Economy and AI Tools in Solid Waste Management” workshop is a five-day international training program planned at Samarkand State University, Uzbekistan (22–26 June 2026). It will bring together engineers, researchers, policymakers and students to learn about circular economy concepts, modern waste management systems and AI-based solutions through lectures, hands-on training and field visits. The event aims to strengthen professional capacity and promote collaboration for sustainable waste management practices.

This international conference will provide a technical forum on advances in the scientific understanding of the effects of aerosols on urban, regional, continental, and global-scale haze and the radiative balance. The conference will take a multipronged approach by encouraging scientific dialogue (e.g., related to measurements, modeling) as well as including presentations addressing regulatory and policy issues. This year, we will be highlighting planned sessions on biomass burning and the effects of wildfire on air quality and increasing concerns of the effects of atmospheric nitrogen and carbonaceous material on haze, climate change, and nitrogen deposition on ecosystems

Banff International Research Station for Mathematical Innovation and Discovery (BIRS)

The upcoming workshop on the analysis of wastewater and environmental surveillance data aims to revolutionize how we handle and interpret wastewater data through advanced statistical methods. Participants will focus on newly developed statistical approaches and optimization of existing models, with a special emphasis on how to prioritize avenues of research that not only generate insightful academic results but are also feasible, impactful, and capable of addressing immediate public health needs. This thoughtful approach will help bridge scientific discovery and real-world implementation. The workshop will also work toward establishing a standardized framework to evaluate and enhance the performance of wastewater models. By fostering collaboration among statisticians, engineers, biologists, and public health experts, the event seeks to generate innovative, practical solutions. Additionally, it will provide public health decision-makers with reliable tools for interpreting wastewater data, helping them make informed decisions during health crises.
