Society for American Archaeology (SAA)

The SAA Annual Meeting is the largest gathering of archaeologists of the Americas, and it offers unparalleled networking opportunities in its exhibit hall, excursions, and receptions and career-development opportunities. يعنى هذا الملتقى بموضوع العلاقات الخارجية للجزائر خلال الفترة الحديثة (926-1246ه/ 1520-1830م)، يعالج الملتقى إشكالية هامة في التاريخ الحديث؛ تتعلق أساسا بتاريخ العلاقات الخارجية للدولة الجزائرية؛ سواء السياسية، العسكرية، الاقتصادية، الاجتماعية والثقافية، على الصعيدين الإقليمي والدولي، وهي علاقات متداخلة ومتشعبة، تحكمت فيها العديد من العوامل والمعطيات آنذاك، حيث تأرجحت تلك العلاقات بين الودية والتعاون والتكامل تارة والندية والصراع تارة أخرى.

This conference focuses on the theme of Algeria’s foreign relations during the Modern Period (1520–1830 / 926–1246 AH). It addresses an important issue in modern history, namely the history of Algeria’s external relations—political, military, economic, social, and cultural—at both the regional and international levels. These relations were complex and intertwined, shaped by multiple factors and circumstances of the time, oscillating between friendship, cooperation, and integration on the one hand, and rivalry and conflict on the other.
