This two-day international conference is organised by East European University & Ivane Javakhishvili Tbilisi State University on October 29-30, 2021. The topic of the first day is "The Being of the University", that of the second day - "The Reality of the Institutional Autonomy in Universities". The conference aims to explore the emerging nature of Georgian higher education within an international context, what is its function, what are its alternatives, what is its strength, how can it contribute to national flourishing, what are its economic imperatives, how autonomous are its institutions and what is the state of academic freedom within the governance structure of the state and its agents. The format will consist of papers given each day on the topics of the nature of the university and autonomy in the university and a panel will be convened at the end of each day to discuss the contributions in the Georgian context. On the first day panel will be chaired by the Rector of EEU, and on the second day – by the Rector of TSU. There also will be a doctoral colloquium at EEU on 28th October, a pre-conference colloquium for graduate students will be held where paper can also be submitted for discussion and publication.

Researching Medical Education is a one-day conference for all those interested in medical and clinical education research. The conference is designed and run by the Association for the Study of Medical Education’s Education Research Committee. This year's theme of agility and flexibility reflects important characteristics of successful clinical education research at any time, not just during a global pandemic. The process of research rarely goes completely to plan and can be influenced by factors beyond the researcher's control. RME 2021 presents an opportunity to share and discuss research approaches that allow for adaptation and to consider the practical and ethical implications of maintaining flexibility in research. Keynotes and interactive workshops will include discussion of the benefits and challenges of online research and how education research understanding can be applied in flexible ways. The RME conference will be of interest to career researchers, teachers of medical / clinical education research and those studying award bearing courses in medical and healthcare education. This includes those undertaking intercalated degrees, masters level courses and those undertaking doctoral level qualifications. Most of all it creates opportunities for rich and lively conversations and learning about educational research and scholarship.

The VI IEEE World Engineering Education Conference (EDUNINE2022) will be a Smart Distributed Conference, multi-city and hybrid, with parallel online and on-site sessions at the cities/countries of Latin America that hosted previous editions of EDUNINE, Spain and Portugal linked to each other using currently available technological solutions. For those authors who wish to participate in person, we will provide several venues to improve accessibility, reduce travel distances and costs. For authors who for various reasons are unable to travel to a venue, we offer the opportunity to participate online in all conference activities. All online and face-to-face sessions will be accessible online. Prospective authors are invited to submit original papers as Full Paper (6 pages), Work-in-Progress Paper (4 pages), or Workshop Proposals (2 or 6 pages). Submissions are welcome on a variety of suggested topics (see below) and others that approach the scope of Education in Engineering, Computing, and Technology. We also encourage contributions that address the unprecedented disruption caused by COVID-19 on all aspects of higher education. All papers must be written in English which is the official language of the Conference to address a wider audience. The papers will be evaluated by peers based on originality, technical and/or research content/depth, correctness, relevance to conference, contributions, and readability. Accepted and presented papers will be submitted for inclusion in the IEEE Xplore® digital library. The languages for the presentations are English and Portuguese and Spanish, corresponding to the most spoken languages in the Latin American region. There will be no poster sessions.

These modifications will aim to move us onward toward the creation of a curriculum that is rooted in the modern world, which is robust and flexible, and strongly interconnected in numerous aspects. The ultimate goal of the new curriculum will be to meet the mathematical needs of upcoming generations of undergraduate students. This workshop will be a major event, building on the outcomes of several initiatives, meetings, and documents, most notably the First Year in Maths (FYiMaths) project in Australia, the far reaching 2016 U.S. document “Common Vision for Undergraduate Mathematical Science Programs in 2025,” and the “First-Year University Mathematics in Canada” conferences hosted by the Fields Institute in 2018, the University of Alberta in 2019, and, virtually, at the University of Toronto Mississauga in 2020.

Zusammenfassung:
The Conference is organised by the Mathematics Education for the Future Project – an independent international educational initiative coordinated by Dr. Alan Rogerson (Poland/UK). Since its inception in 1986, our Project has received support and funding from many educational bodies and institutions throughout the world including ICMI, ICME, The British Council & UNESCO. The Mathematics Education for the Future Project is dedicated to the improvement of mathematics education worldwide through the dissemination of innovative ideas and materials. Many prominent mathematicians have supported our project. Our conferences are renowned for their friendly and productive working atmosphere and are attended by innovaters in educators from all over the world – for example 44 countries were represented at our 2009 conference in Dresden, Germany. The conference programme will feature plenary sessions, peer reviewed papers and workshops and working groups.

The Mathematics Education for the Future Project was founded in 1986 as an educational, non-commercial and philanthropic initiative to encourage and promote innovation in mathematics, science, statistics and computer education. Since 1999 we have held 15 international conferences which were renowned for their friendly and productive atmosphere and were attended by many movers and shakers in education world-wide. We now warmly invite abstracts for papers and workshops dealing with all aspects of innovation in education.
