Diese fachliche DPG-Fortbildung behandelt exemplarisch ausgewählte Themen der Astronomie, zum einen von den physikalischen Grundlagen her, zum anderen auch für den direkten Einsatz im Unterricht. Von der Geschichte der Erforschung des Sonnensystems mit Hilfe der Raumfahrt, Betrieb einer Schulsternwarte, einfachen Beobachtungen und Rechnungen geht es über Planeten und Exoplaneten zum Weltraumwetter, von der Multimessenger-Astronomie, Durchmusterung der Milchstraße und deren Schwarzen Loch zur Entfernungsbestimmung im Universum, und von visuellen und Teleskopbeobachtungen sowie dem „Paradoxon“ des dunklen Nachthimmels bis hin zur Darstellung von Physik und Astronomie in Filmen.

Résumé:
In a world increasingly driven by software, the role of a software engineer has never been more paramount. From the smartphones in our hands to the most intricate space exploration missions, software systems are at the very heart. Yet, as these systems continue to evolve in size, complexity, and importance, the education and training methods to prepare the next generation of software engineers must be equally adaptive and forward-looking. Over the past three decades, Software Engineering Education and Training (SEE&T) has continually risen to these evolving challenges. Initially, the focus was on defining the role of software engineers and how SEE&T integrates into broader engineering and computer science curricula. The current landscape, however, is shifting the focus towards enhanced knowledge transfer, emphasizing experiential learning, and aligning academic teaching with real-world industrial demands. The importance of effective communication, whether with clients or peers, the rising trend of project-based and problem-driven learning methodologies, and the symbiotic relationship between academia and industry form the very essence of modern SEE&T.

Rechtzeitig vor Beginn des Quantenjahres 2025, in dem die Quantenmechanik 100 Jahre alt wird, will die Fortbildung zur Geschichte der Quantenphysik Lehrerinnen und Lehrer auch historisch einmal auf den neusten Stand bringen. Zu oft werden im Physikunterricht Anekdoten und vermeintliche Geschichten wiederholt, die lange widerlegt sind: von h wie Hilfsgröße zu Heisenbergs Heureka auf Helgoland. Darüber hinaus können Episoden aus der Physikgeschichte auch im Unterricht didaktisch sinnvoll eingesetzt werden und helfen zudem, ein realistischeres Bild von der physikalischen Forschung zu geben.
