This workshop brings together researchers and educators with a common mission: empowering students to become creative problem-solvers in a yet-unknown future. Central to our cause is the XLogoOnline learning environment, that is already embraced by a thriving community of over 100,000 learners each year. Developed collaboratively by leading universities and institutions such as ETH Zurich, Max-Planck-Institute of Technology, and University of Trier, this platform aims at providing the means to foster algorithmic problem-solving in compulsory schooling from primary to higher secondary school. Turtle Hack brings stakeholders together and serves as a nexus for sharing visions and expertise. We plan and discuss the future of our platform, guiding its trajectory for years to come. From workshops to brainstorming sessions, Turtle Hack is where theory meets practice, nurturing the next generation of programmers and innovators.

Im Lab vernetzen sich Innovator:innen im Rahmen von Partnerships. Am 3. und 4. April 2025 wollen wir zur Abschlusskonferenz von DigiTeLL zusammenkommen und uns zu dem breiten Feld der Lehre und Digitalisierung an Hochschulen austauschen. Dabei steht die Veranstaltung ganz im Zeichen der Präsentation und kritischen Reflexion innovativer digitaler Lehr- und Lernkonzepte – Learning Designs – in der Hochschullehre. This Dagstuhl Seminar aims to bring together experts and stakeholders in Generative AI and computing education to foster collaboration and to chart a way forward as Generative AI continues to improve and proliferate. It is the goal of this seminar to leverage the experience and knowledge of dozens of programming education experts from around the world to form an enduring community of practice. During the Dagstuhl Seminar, we intend to develop strategies for incorporating LLMs into programming education and to rigorously evaluate their use and impact. This seminar will explore the following topics in the context of Generative AI in programming education: accessibility; diversity, equality, and inclusion; resources; introductory programming for computer science majors and non-majors; advanced courses (that use programming); curriculum changes; novel pedagogies, approaches and tools; and industry use and changes that may lead to new learning outcomes.
