This meeting will present work that encompasses the influence of hormones on driving cancer across the lifespan, through influences on aging, immunity, and other factors. Many current studies in aging and cancer do not adequately consider the impact of hormones, hormone receptors, and changing hormone levels as drivers of these processes. This meeting will assemble researchers across the fields of endocrinology, aging, and oncology to discuss the interplay of these multiple factors and how they should be considered when diagnosing and treating cancers. The meeting will span basic, translational, and clinical research to drive bench to bedside and bedside and back insights that will advance our understanding of cancer etiology, prevention, and treatment approaches. The meeting will bridge interdisciplinary groups of scientists, population scientists, and clinicians, allowing a unique blend of discovery in the hormones over the lifespan, aging, immunity, and cancer.
