Conférence internationale "Dynamique, jeux et science" — International Conference on Dynamics, Games and Science
03 Jun 2019 - 07 Jun 2019 • CIRM – Luminy, France
Organizer:
Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques (CIRM)
Abstract:
Following the previous editions (2008, 2013, 2014, 2016 and 2017) of the DGS series, the 2019 edition of the International Conference Dynamics Games and Science DGS 2019 aims to bring together world top researchers and practitioners addressing current trends of research on the fields of Dynamical Systems, Game Theory, Mathematical Finance, Optimization, Stochastic Optimal Control and its applications to such areas as Biology, Economics, Engineering, Energy, Natural Resources and Social Sciences.

The 2019 edition of DGS will constitute an excellent opportunity for MSc and PhD students and researchers to meet other experts in their fields of knowledge and to discuss and develop new frameworks and ideas to further improve knowledge and science.

Probabilités de petite balle pour les SPDE — Small ball probability estimates for SPDEs
08 Jul 2019 - 19 Jul 2019 • CIRM – Luminy, France
Organizer:
Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques (CIRM)
Abstract:
The subject of Large Deviations measures the probabilities of atypically large fluctuations of random process from their means. On the other hand, small ball probabilities measure the atypically small fluctuations from the mean. While there is an extensive literature on large deviations, small ball probabilities have not been well understood. There has been quite some work on Gaussian processes but far less for general processes. We are interested in understanding the small ball problem in the setting of the stochastic heat equation (SHE); this has not been explored before. Our results would be a first step in understanding behaviour of the paths of the SHE at a fixed time t under the influence of a random field. Examples of random fields are obstacles or a penalty for paths (at fixed time) to self intersect.

Interactions EDP/Probabilités : systèmes de particules, lois de conservation hyperboliques — PDE/Probability Interactions: Particle Systems, Hyperbolic Conservation Laws
14 Oct 2019 - 18 Oct 2019 • CIRM – Luminy, France
Organizer:
Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques (CIRM)
Abstract:
This conference, on the interplay between PDEs and probability, and following a previous edition that took place at the CIRM in 2017, will focus on the study of such particle systems, with an emphasis on mean-fields models with singular interactions, such as the Boltzman, Landau and Keller-Segel equations, as well as systems of conservation laws, which arise as scaling limits of asymmetric particle systems under hyperbolic scaling.

Optimization stochastique pour les grands systèmes — Stochastic Optimization for Large-Scale Systems
04 Nov 2019 - 08 Nov 2019 • CIRM – Luminy, France
Organizer:
Centre International de Rencontres Mathématiques (CIRM)
Abstract:
Sensors and data abound. This spatial and temporal information is supposed to allow a better management -- in new energy systems, transport or eco-industrial parks, to quote a few examples. This leads to problems of large-scale optimization, the formulation of which is delicate. Indeed, one needs to take into account at least three dimensions: temporal (stages of decision, dynamics, inertia), spatial (different decision units connected by flows), stochastic (various possible scenarios) and thus risk. This leads to multi-stage stochastic optimization problems which enter the class of large-scale systems.
