UDP — The Understudied Druggable Proteome Conference
10 Aug 2021 - 12 Aug 2021 • Virtual, Any Location (virtual event)
FASEB Science Research Conferences
This conference will explore new and emerging approaches to illuminate the understudied proteome with a focus on druggable targets including ion channels, G protein coupled receptors, kinases and network pharmacology. Conference sessions will present the latest research and foster discussion on: Systems and network biology to illuminate the understudied druggable proteome, Approaches for illuminating the understudied kinome, Advances in the understudied ion channel superfamily, Computational approaches to illuminate ligands for understudied and orphan GPCRS, GPCR signal transduction networks to illuminate understudied GPCRs. In addition to keynote lecture from Ardem Partepoutian, PhD (Scripps Research Institute), the conference will feature 10 sessions, 20 selected abstract presentations, and career development workshops. Additionally, representatives from the NIH Druggable Genome Initiative, conference organizers, and keynote speakers will meet with junior investigators in a “Meet the Expert” session. They will offer insights into the career opportunities and challenges in the biomedical sciences field, with an emphasis on the understudied druggable genome.
