QTech 2024 — Quantum Technology International Conference 2024
10 Sep 2024 - 12 Sep 2024 • Berlin, Germany
Abstract:
The growing ability to manipulate quantum systems is paving the way for a second quantum revolution and a number of initiatives worldwide have been formed to foster quantum technologies. These exciting novel applications are exploiting specific quantum properties which are not accessible with classical resources such as superposition and entanglement of individual quantum systems. The objective of the QTech conference, which will take place on September 10-12, 2024 in Berlin, is to present the latest developments of quantum technologies in the domains of quantum communication, computation, simulation, sensors and metrology, both in their implementation using various platforms from atoms and ions to solid states, superconducting circuits and optics, as well as in their conceptual and theoretical foundations.

6th International Workshop on Quantum Compilation
11 Sep 2024 - 12 Sep 2024 • Berlin, Germany
Abstract:
The workshop aims to bring together researchers from quantum computing, electronic design automation, and compiler construction. Open questions that we anticipate this group to tackle include new methods for circuit synthesis, optimization, and rewriting, techniques for verifying the correctness of quantum programs, and new techniques for compiling efficient circuits and protocols regarding fault-tolerant and architecture constraints.

Swabian Summer School 2024
24 Sep 2024 - 27 Sep 2024 • Stuttgart, Germany
Organizer:
Swabian Instruments GmbH
Abstract:
Swabian Instruments is offering this 3-day workshop designed to bring together highly motivated Masters in their last year and PhD students for an intensive program on advanced photonic and quantum measurements using our Time Taggers with picosecond precision. The Summer School program will include expert lectures on various related topics in the mornings, followed by hands-on and experimental sessions in the afternoons. Exciting social events and networking opportunities will inspire open discussion and chat with the entire Swabian Instruments community. Participants will have the chance to present their own research, foster connections, and exchange new ideas.

Dagstuhl-Seminar — Quantum Software Engineering
15 Dec 2024 - 20 Dec 2024 • Schloss Dagstuhl – Wadern, Germany
Organizer:
Schloss Dagstuhl - Leibniz-Zentrum für Informatik GmbH
Abstract:
Under the umbrella of quantum information theory, quantum-relevant algorithms have been proposed. In some cases, their relevance is due to the reduction of the order of complexity with respect to solutions in the classical world. In other cases, the relevance is due to the emergence of innovative solutions, such as obtaining more accurate predictions with less trained neural networks. The entry into the NISQ era with the development of the first quantum computers and simulators now makes it possible to test such algorithms on real computers. This raises new expectations and fosters a growing interest in quantum computing from both research and development.
