Security Operations Summit 2019
24 Jun 2019 - 01 Jul 2019 • New Orleans, LA, United States
Abstract:
Security Operations is responsible for protecting an organization’s information systems through proactive design and configuration, ongoing monitoring of system state, detection of unintended actions or undesirable state, and minimizing of damage from unwanted effects. A security operations program (usually embodied in the form of a Security Operations Center or SOC) succeeds when it intervenes in an adversary’s efforts to impact the availability, confidentiality, and integrity of the organization’s information assets. Too often, SOCs fail to interrupt adversary efforts because they are not able to effectively align SOC functions with one another, the IT operations, and the organization’s business needs. The Security Operations Summit brings together prominent practitioners from leading organizations for two days of in-depth talks and panel discussions around building, operating, and maturing a successful security operations program. Speakers will share innovative approaches and techniques they've used to enhance the key operational functions of a SOC: network monitoring, incident response, threat intelligence, forensics, self-assessment, and the command center.

Threat Hunting & IR Summit 2019
30 Sep 2019 - 07 Oct 2019 • New Orleans, LA, United States
Abstract:
Chances are very high that hidden threats already exist inside your organization's networks. No matter how thorough and sophisticated your security precautions may be, you cannot assume your security measures are impenetrable. By themselves, prevention systems are insufficient to counter focused human adversaries who know how to get around today’s advanced security and monitoring tools. It takes highly skilled and focused defenders to defeat these persistent adversaries. The two-day Summit brings together prominent security practitioners for in-depth talks focused on techniques that can be used to successfully identify, contain, and eliminate adversaries targeting your networks. As an attendee, you’ll walk away from this Summit with new tools and methods to leverage as soon as you return to work.

SIEM Summit & Training 2019
07 Oct 2019 - 14 Oct 2019 • Chicago, IL, United States
Abstract:
Bring order to data chaos.Security teams continue to miss intrusions that can be easily detected with the data and logging solutions they already have. While many security programs deploy a Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) platform, they struggle to effectively collect, parse, enrich, and filter the vast amounts of data they're collecting. This ultimately leads to a failure to generate actionable intelligence and detect intrusions before it's too late. Instead of following the tradition of centrally collecting data to more efficiently ignore it, attend the SIEM Summit and bring order to the chaos by learning how to use your data for tactical analysis and detection. Hear from the experts– Find out how to turn adversary strengths into weaknesses. The SIEM Summit will provide attendees with practical approaches and techniques that enable organizations to use their SIEM platform as a robust detection capability. The Summit will bring together leading security practitioners and present real-world case studies that demonstrate how to leverage new or existing high-value log sources. With its focus on effective use of monitoring tools and sound analysis techniques, the Summit aims to cure SIEM deployments of their most common issues and pass on the newest ideas about how to better utilize the advanced capabilities of these platforms. Join us to learn first-hand from those who are effectively using their SIEM platform to identify, detect, and ultimately hunt adversaries.
