Zusammenfassung:
Atmosphärische Plasmen bieten eine Vielzahl von Möglichkeiten zur funktionellen Modifizierung von Oberflächen. Nach einer Plasmabehandlung können Kunststoffoberflächen bedruckt, lackiert oder verklebt werden. Auf Metallen ist die Abscheidung dünnster Korrosionsschutzschichten möglich, auf Glas führt die Abscheidung von Nanobeschichtungen zur Transmissionsverbesserung. Die verschiedenen Funktionalisierungen finden in den unterschiedlichsten technischen Bereichen Anwendung, aber nicht nur dort. Heute werden neben technischen Materialien auch biologische Oberflächen mit Plasmen modifiziert. Hier spielt besonders die reinigende und antimikrobielle Wirkung der Plasmen eine große Rolle. Schlussendlich kann durch die energetische Anregung von Gasen auch ein Beitrag zur Luftreinigung und Wasserbehandlung geleistet werden. So ergeben sich viele Ansatzpunkte für die Nutzung atmosphärischer Plasmen für hygienisch sensible Bereiche.

Mobility is a fundamental ingredient of our present society.While it shapes our lives at the global and local scales, it also is responsible for about a quarter of the overall CO2 emissions. The mobility sector is actually the fastest growing source of global emissions.Improving the efficiency of energy use in transportation is thus an essential part of the present fight against the climate crisis. Neutron scattering methods offer a unique possibility to access the structure and dynamics down to the atomic scale and investigate the processes involved in many of the fields relevant to this question. This MLZ Conference aims to bring the very heterogeneous community of researchers working in those fields in contact with experts of the scattering community and to foster cross-disciplinary discussions. The main focus of the conference is on neutron methods, but complementary techniques will be covered as well.

Die vom IFSW veranstalteten Stuttgarter Lasertage (SLT) finden gemeinsam mit der Messe LASYS auf dem Messegelände in Stuttgart (Flughafen) statt. Die dem Wissenstransfer dienenden, seit 1999 im zweijährigen Turnus durchgeführten Stuttgarter Lasertage haben sich als zentrales Anwenderforum der Laserbranche etabliert und wenden sich auch an ein internationales Publikum. Die Vorträge werden wieder in deutscher und englischer Sprache gehalten, es wird eine Simultan­übersetzung angeboten. Der Tradition folgend werden auch 2022 wieder die Themen Mikro- und Makro-Materialbearbeitung sowie die dazugehörenden Laserquellen und Strahlführungssysteme behandelt. Neben den neuesten Entwicklungen bei den klassischen Verfahren (Schneiden, Schweißen, Bohren, Strukturieren, usw.) werden insbesondere aktuelle Themenschwerpunkte wie die generative Fertigung oder systemtechnische Ansätze und Lösungen zur Produktivitätssteigerung in der Mikromaterialbearbeitung beleuchtet. Entsprechend dazu werden die jüngsten Fortschritte auf den Gebieten der UKP-Laser, der Strahlführung, der ultraschnellen Scanner sowie der Strahlformung ebenfalls präsentiert.

Since 1995, Conference on Cryocrystals and Quantum Crystals (CC) has been an important international forum for presenting new results on physics and chemistry of atomic and molecular solids such as rare gas solids, hydrogens, nitrogen, oxygen, methanes, helium isotopes, water ice, etc..

The CC conference is held every two years and since the first meeting in Almaty it is the sixt time that the CC community settles in Poland. Following the initial conference in Kazakhstan next meetings were held in: Polanica Zdrój (1997), Szklarska Poręba (2000), Freising (2002), Wrocław (2004 & 2008), Kharkiv (2006), Chernogolovka (2010), Odessa (2012), Almaty (2014), Turku (2016) and last time in Wojanów (2018).

The scope of CC is wide, including, but not limited to: films, nanoscale systems, low temperature physics, charged species in cryocrystals, spectroscopy of cryocrystals, ultra-low temperature and high-pressure studies, matrix isolation in cryocrystals, ultrafast dynamics in crystals, order-disorder phenomena, technological applications and instrumentation.

BNASS (Biennial National Atomic Spectroscopy Symposium) is the biennial meeting of the RSC Atomic Spectroscopy Group and provides an ideal forum to encourage the exchange of ideas and knowledge in analytical atomic spectroscopy. BNASS will celebrate its 20th event and during its history, there have been some tremendous changes in atomic spectroscopy. These advances have been showcased at BNASS, which has built an international reputation for both the quality of the science presented and the unique style of the symposium, enabling delegates to meet and discuss issues in a social setting. The meeting includes a mix of established and younger speakers, and the organisers would especially like to encourage young researchers to present their results in short oral presentations within each of the topic sessions.

Metamaterials 2022 — The 16th International Congress on Artificial Materials for Novel Wave Phenomena

The Sixteenth International Congress on Artificial Materials for Novel Wave Phenomena – Metamaterials 2022, will comprise a 4-day Conference (12–15 September), and a 2-day Doctoral School (16–17 September). Co-organized by the METAMORPHOSE VI AISBL (https://www.metamorphose-vi.org) and The University of Siena, this Congress follows the success of Metamaterials 2007-2021 and continues the traditions of the highly successful series of International Conferences on Complex Media and Metamaterials (Bianisotropics) and Rome International Workshops on Metamaterials and Special Materials for lectromagnetic Applications and Telecommunications. The Congress will provide a unique topical forum to share the latest results of the metamaterials research. It will bring together the engineering, physics, applied mathematics and material science communities working on artificial materials and their applications in electromagnetism/optics, acoustics/mechanics, transport, and multi-physics.

The Congress is expected to be on-site. However, if the sanitary emergency and the travel restrictions will not allow a full on-site event, the Congress will be held in a hybrid format in the same date.
