The lectures are primarily addressed to Ph.D. students in High Energy Particle and Astroparticle Physics. The aim of the school is to give a pedagogical introduction to the basic concepts and tools needed for research, covering the foundations of the subject at a deep and advanced level. The main topics include the Standard Model of Particle Physics and its extensions, Collider Physics, Quantum Field Theory and Cosmology.

The aim of the school is to bring together PhD students with interests in low-dimensional quantum field theory, conformal field theory and integrable models, and their applications to statistical mechanics and condensed matter systems, and to help them build a solid and specialized background on these topics. The school provides a range of postgraduate courses covering introductory topics as well as recent developments.

MIAPbP - Munich Institute for Astro-, Particle and BioPhysics

This workshop aims to explore both the similarities and complementarities between dark matter and the neutrino sector in the context of direct detection experiments with a particular focus on electronic excitations.

Charged leptons have been key to the current understanding of physics at the shortest length scales and are the focus of precise tests of the Standard Model. In the coming years several experiments with increased sensitivity in charged lepton physics are expected to deliver exciting results. This workshop will offer the possibility for theoretical and experimental physicists to discuss the status and prospects of this field of research.

The workshop has three main topics: tau lepton precision physics (weeks 1+2), charged lepton flavour violation (weeks 2+3) and muon precision physics (weeks 3+4).

The Galactic Center (GC) plays a pivotal role in the evolution of the Milky Way. It is instrumental in mapping and understanding the central regions of quiescent galaxies since it is the closest galactic nucleus to us. It serves as a unique test bed for both stellar dynamics in an extremely dense environment as well as magnetohydrodynamics in the vicinity of the supermassive black hole Sagittarius A* (Sgr A*). It is fundamental for studying star formation, because the conditions of its interstellar medium (magnetic fields, temperature, turbulence) are unlike any other place in the Milky Way. Despite many detailed multiwavelength studies of the central regions of our Galaxy, we still have many open questions concerning its history and future evolution. This symposium will bring together experts working on both observational and theoretical studies of the Galactic Center so that they can “traverse” this exciting region from Sgr A* and the surrounding dense nuclear star cluster to the central molecular zone and back, covering about eight orders of magnitude in spatial length. Looking at the Galactic nucleus from this vantage point will uncover details of its past processes and potential future. We will explore the remarkable progress made since the last major meeting of the community—the Galactic Center Workshop in Granada (April 24–28, 2023). We will examine exciting new results, including those from JWST and GRAVITY/ERIS at the VLT, as well as insights from ALMA and MeerKAT.

The aim of the research program is nothing less than to develop a unified quantum theory of space, time and matter based on a well-defined mathematical foundation.
