“Knots, homologies and physics” is a research program organized within the “Simons semester” series from March 1 until June 30, 2024. It is devoted to the analysis of the relations between knot theory and physics. The program is hosted at the Institute of Mathematics, Polish Academy of Sciences, and co-organized by the Faculty of Mathematics, Informatics and Mechanics, and Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw. The program includes two workshops, an advanced school, and other lecture series and seminars by renowned mathematicians and physicists. These activities – unless stated otherwise – will be held at the Institute of Mathematics, Polish Academy of Sciences.

Advanced school on quantum spacetime will take place at the Faculty of Physics, University of Warsaw, from September 2 to September 6, 2024. The school will cover some of the most rapidly developing areas connecting quantum field theory with cosmology and gravitational physics: black holes, scattering amplitudes, gravitational waves, cosmological correlators, and celestial holography. The school will consist of five series of lectures, each series will consist of four lectures. The school is intended for graduate students, but advanced undergraduates and postdocs entering these research areas will also profit from pedagogical lectures and discussions.
