Organizer:
Russian Chemometrics Society
Abstract:
The conference will cover a wide area of modern methods and applications of multivariate data analysis, including quantitative and qualitative analysis, PAT, theory of sampling, experimental design, image analysis, QSAR/ QSPR, and others. It was started as an international scientific event to support the rapid development of multivariate data analysis and its application to analytical chemistry. WSC is very friendly to young scientists and those beginning to carve their way in data analysis. Traditional courses for PhD, master students, postdocs will take place on weekend, just before the symposium. The best poster and oral presentation of young scientists will be awarded.

WSC is the first and the only conference on chemometrics in Russia. The conference was created as a part of the Drushbametrics project established about 10 years ago by a small group of enthusiasts from Russia and Scandinavia. The main objectives of Drushbametrics were dissemination and popularization of chemometrics in Russia, as well as establishment of a bridge connecting Russian scientists to the international chemometric community. During seven previous conferences held in Russia since 2002, WSC has been recognized internationally for its solid scientific content and intensive social program.

7th International Conference on Vibrational Optical Activity
07 Aug 2022 - 11 Aug 2022 • Edmonton, Canada
Abstract:
Chiral, enantiopure compounds play an increasingly important role in modern society, as many pharmaceutical compounds, e.g. active compounds, mimics and biologics, are chiral. In modern regulatory work, the absolute configuration of such compounds must be accessed, as must the stability and structural integrity of biologics and generics of these. Therefore, techniques suitable for accurate absolute configuration assignment and detailed structural analysis are in high demand in research and industry. The VOA conference series aims to present the cutting edge in research and development in the field of vibrational optical activity (VCD and ROA) and beyond, highlighting developments in chiroptical spectroscopy, experimentally as well as theoretically, bringing together the leading scientists in the field for stimulating presentations and discussions of the newest trends and applications of this diverse group of techniques.
