Faraday Discussion — From optical to THz control of materials
23 May 2022 - 25 May 2022 • London, United Kingdom
Royal Society of Chemistry
This meeting is for established scientists, post-graduate students and industrial researchers interested in ultrafast control of the physical properties of materials by light excitation and/or THz excitation. Given the rapid development of experimental techniques, including XFEL science, THz science and various pump–probe techniques, and developments in the theory of ultrafast, out-of-equilibrium and multiscale processes driven by light or THz excitation, this meeting will provide a roadmap of where the field is and what the challenges are over the next 5–10 years and beyond.

Digital Holography and 3-D Imaging
01 Aug 2022 - 04 Aug 2022 • Cambridge, United Kingdom
Optica, formerly OSA
The Digital Holography and Three-Dimensional Imaging meeting provides a forum for science, technology, applications of digital holographic, three-dimensional imaging and display methods. Topic areas include interferometry, phase microscopy, novel holographic processes, 3D and novel displays, integral imaging, computer generated holograms, compressive holography, full-field tomography, specific image and signal processing, and holography with various light sources including coherent to incoherent and X-ray to terahertz waves. This is a highly inter-disciplinary forum with a broad field of applications in biomedicine, biophotonics, nanomaterials, nanophotonics, and scientific and industrial metrologies.

Photon 2022
30 Aug 2022 - 02 Sep 2022 • Nottingham, United Kingdom
Photon 2022 is the eleventh conference in a biennial series that started in 2002 covering optics and photonics. This year the conference will be held as an in-person event with live streaming capabilities enabling participants to access the talks online. During the event, participants will have the opportunity to hear from leading experts in the field, attend lectures from leading technology experts, and visit the exhibition profiling the latest in optics and photonics technology. The programme will consist of plenary and invited talks, as well as contributed presentations and posters. There will also be ample opportunity to network and explore collaborations with colleagues.

This year the IOP Combustion Physics group will join other IOP groups including Environmental Physics, Instrument and Science Technology, Optical, Quantum Electronics and Photonics, Quantum Optics, Quantum Information and Quantum Control and Medical Physics, bringing together additional topical areas.
