The 8th international workshop on Compound-Nuclear Reactions and Related Topics will be held from 5 to 9 October 2026 at ACROS Fukuoka Conference Room in Fukuoka, Japan. Following in the footsteps of previous workshops held in Yosemite National Park (2007), Bordeaux (2009), Prague (2011), Sao Paolo (2013), Tokyo (2015), Berkeley (2018), and Vienna (2024) the meeting will bring together scientists from the fields of nuclear theory, experiment, nuclear astrophysics, data evaluation, and other applications. The primary goal is to provide a forum for reviewing the status of experimental and theoretical efforts in compound-nuclear reactions and related areas, discussing recent developments, and exploring how these improvements can be integrated into practical applications.
Nuclear reaction mechanisms (direct, compound, pre-equilibrium, other) ; Nuclear fission ; Surrogate methods; Applications in nuclear astrophysics, energy, etc. ; Synthesis of superheavy element ; Level densities and photon strength functions; Nuclear giant resonances; Nuclear structure for nuclear reactions ; Study of unstable nuclei ; Measurements relevant to compound-nuclear reactions (direct and indirect) ; Nuclear data evaluation and dissemination ; R-matrix theory and connecting resolved resonances with statistical regime
