MLZ Conference 2024 — Neutrons for Energy Storage
04 Jun 2024 - 07 Jun 2024 • Munich, Germany
Abstract:
Storage and effective usage of renewable energy will be one of the major challenges our society will face in 21th century. This century will witness a major transformation in how energy is acquired, stored, and utilized globally. Neutron scattering contributes significantly to the advancement of energy storage technologies by providing detailed insights into the structural and dynamic properties of materials. This information is instrumental in designing and improving materials for more efficient, durable, and sustainable energy storage solutions.

QENS/WINS 2024
10 Jun 2024 - 14 Jun 2024 • Manchester, United Kingdom
Organizer:
Institute of Physics (IOP)
Abstract:
QENS focusses on the discussion and exchange of scientific ideas related to the investigation of atomic and molecular motions, while WINS deals with instrumental aspects of quasielastic and inelastic neutron scattering techniques. Though originally QENS and WINS were held independent of each other, the added value of their joint celebration was acknowledged in 2012, and continues today, since it enhances their scope and impact on the scientific community related with the quasielastic and inelastic neutron scattering techniques.
